Job Summary::
The Fuel Tank Polish & Plumbing Operator plays a hands-on role in delivering quality finished products to our customers. You will work with a team to move tanks through the polishing and plumbing process with precision, care, and ownership. The right person for this role takes pride in doing things the right way, looks for opportunities to improve the process, and understands that their work directly impacts the success of the team and the company.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Identify tanks that require polishing, remove them from the racks and load them into the polish lineup.
- Identify and mark placards on racks for polished tanks.
- Install protective hardware before tanks are polished.
- Ensure that labels and identifying paperwork stay with their respective tanks.
- Remove residual polish compound from tanks after the production process
- Apply protective wrap to polished tanks and load them back into their home position.
- Installs fittings and accessories according to the supplied build sheet.
- Perform continual quality verification.
- Clearly document and communicate issues with products.
- Check in and stock parts.
- Help the team perform routine cleaning, stocking supplies, and maintenance.
- Inform supervisors of supplies needed for polishing, plumbing, cleaning, and maintenance.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
- Consistently and accurately perform repetitive tasks without quality variance
- Ability to read and install parts according to supplied diagrams.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to recognize bottlenecks and hinderances to workflow
- Dependability
- Great communication skills.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods standing and walking.
- Must be physically able bend down to pick up objects.
- Must be able to lift to 50 pounds at a time.

Additional Information
This role is Monday through Friday and operates with two shifts. Day Shift 6:00am to 3:00pm and Night Shift 5:00pm to 2:00am. Each Shift includes a one-hour lunch. Overtime is available when production demands are required to support our customers’ needs. Overtime is generally for an additional one or two hours past the end of the shift.
